Nasce Brembo Life Jacket, un’innovativa collezione di giacche con all’interno un sistema di sicurezza: un airbag invisibile che in caso di incidente si attiva immediatamente mediante uno speciale dispositivo, che gonfiandosi protegge la parte superiore del corpo.
La collezione comprende giacche dal design contemporaneo, ideali per essere indossate in città, dove il motociclista ha l’esigenza di un abbigliamento di sicurezza che sia al tempo stesso elegante e di stile.

E’ proprio in città, infatti, che si registra il maggior numero di incidenti che coinvolgono motocicli: in Italia più dell’85% dei sinistri avviene nelle aree urbane, e oltre il 75% ad una velocità uguale o inferiore a 50 km/h.

Brembo have created a new motorcycle jacket called “Life Jacket” which besides being fashionable and stylish, a must these days, also contains an air bag system.

The Brembo Life Jacket meets the need to protect the torso, chest and back and neck; those parts of the body that undergo almost 50% of all injuries in motorcycle or scooter accidents. The air bag deploys in just 80 milliseconds thanks to Brembo’s new activator developed with Helite and Sabelt who designed the inertial reel connection cable that is attached to the motorcycle that triggers the airbag. The system remains inflated for 60 seconds and then the jacket slowly returns to its original size.

The “Life Jacket” will be available in three models for men and two for women and in six colours (white, black, blue, red, silver gray and sand mélange). The fabric is Oxford nylon and Teflon and are very light, the lightest jacket weighs just a little more than a kilo while the heaviest reaches a kilo and half.
